CHANCEN eG is the cooperative for fair and socially acceptable education financing. It combines freedom with solidarity by enabling free and self-determined education through solidarity-based financing.
Imagine a world where everyone is free to further their education and develop their full potential.
CHANCEN eG provides the fairest education financing: it pays the tuition fees or living costs of its members. In return, graduates pay back a fixed percentage of their income after graduation to finance the next generation. The income dependency maintains freedom and self-determination. CHANCEN eG sees education, free development and the realisation of potential as crucial for personal and social development. The fairness of the model and the impact focus is guaranteed by the legal form: as a cooperative, CHANCEN eG belongs to its members - especially the students, who thus own their own financing model.
In 2021, CHANCEN eG will finance 1,100 students in Germany and 1,300 students in Rwanda, East Africa, with the Reverse Generation Contract / Income Share Agreement. It is currently setting up the Future of Work Fund in sub-Saharan Africa to finance 10,000 disadvantaged students by 2024. It proves that ISAs can solve the problem of financing higher education in emerging and developing countries in a fair and sustainable way.
