In the past few decades a large number of organisations have been founded and realities created in all walks of life – enterprises such as agricultural companies, banks, medicine manufacturers, institutions such as schools, social therapeutic institutions etc. all of which demonstrate that Anthroposophical ideas and impulses are practical, fruitful and effective. The number of these institutions and organisations has been growing by about 7-10% each year. In 1923/24, 12,000 members of the General Anthroposophical Society faced a single figure number of organisations and institutions. However, today this figure is increasingly nearing the ratio of 1:1 – with more than 40,000 members of the General Anthroposophical Society.
