he International Women Farmers' Conference, founded 51 years ago by Maria Thun, will take place in Austria again this year from 22 to 27 October, after 11 years. A team of Demeter and organic women farmers is responsible for the preparation and organisation of the conference in Horn in the Waldviertel, at the Campus Horn seminar centre.

As already stated in the 2013 World Agriculture Report, feeding the world's population is only possible if farming structures are maintained and promoted. However, it is precisely these small-scale farming structures that are currently under particular threat and are often at their financial limits. The people on these farms work out of deepest conviction and love for nature with minimal financial means.

In order to support these women farmers in particular, we have also planned staggered prices. Women who can afford more voluntarily pay higher conference fees. However, as this alone is not enough to make the conference affordable for all interested women, we are dependent on support.

For this very reason, the number of participants has fallen from around 120 women to around 70 women in recent years.

We also offer the opportunity to advertise with the company logo on all our correspondence and thus to support the Women Farmers' Conference with advertising.
